Gerald Ray “Jerry” Miller, 53, beloved son, brother and husband of Midlothian, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 13, 2009, at Baylor Hospital in Dallas.

Jerry was born Jan. 17, 1955, in Waxa-hachie Hospital, to Loyd and Marie (Ivy) Miller. He lived in and around Midlothian all his life and attended Midlothian schools.

Jerry was a mechanic by trade and was currently employed by J&W Carpets in Midlothian.

He married the love of his life, Donna Johnson, on July 4, 2008. He loved to hunt and fish and was called upon by family and friends to fix just about anything. One of his favorite pastimes was playing farkel with Carol Jean “His Tuffy” and Melvin.

He was preceded in death by his father, Loyd Miller in 1997.

He is survived by his loving wife, Donna Miller of Midlothian; mother, Marie Miller of Midlothian; one son, Gerad Justice of Midlothian; one grandson, Taylor Justice; one granddaughter, Shelby Justice, both of Flower Mound; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Rickie and Opal Miller of Midlothian and Ronnie and Kay Miller of Milburn, Okla.; one sister and brother-in-law, Judy and Galen Samford of Midlothian; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews; many aunts, uncles and cousins; his wife’s children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren; lots of close friends; and his three dogs that he loved so much, Lady, Fuzzy and Shadow.  He will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him.

Pallbearers were Brad Miller, Ronnie Miller Jr., Jeff Brock-Jones, Ron Townley, Dino Reyna and Jerry Massey.

Services were held at 2 p.m. Friday, Jan. 17, in the Midlothian Funeral Home chapel. Pastor Eddie Mayfield officiated.

Interment followed in the Mt. Zion Cemetery in Midlothian
