George Jackson “Mr. Jack” Halteman, age 76 of Midlothian died Saturday morning, April 28, 2007 at his home.

He was born on September 26, 1930 to Charles Edward and Anna Violet (Wyrick) Halteman. Mr. Jack retired from Fritch W. Clitch after 35 years. He then was a school bus driver for special needs children in Midlothian. Mr. Jack was an ordained minister. He was a loving, caring Daddy and Pepaw always making sure the needs of his family were met.

George is survived by his daughters, Linda Ellison of Shawnee, Okla., and Kathy Ann Lake and her husband Roy of Midlothian; five grandchildren, Amy Dawn Ellison of Chatfield, Texas, Kelly Jean Ellison of Palmer, Crystal Ann Schneider of Casa Grande, Ariz., Mark Lake of Carrolton and David and Alisa Crumbley of Fallon, Nev; his sister, Georgie Cavander and husband Ray of Ovilla; three great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife “Miss Ann”, three brothers and two sisters.

Funeral services are scheduled for 3 p.m., Monday, April 30, in the Chapel of the Boze-Mitchell-McKibbin Funeral Home. Interment followed at the Midlothian Cemetery.

The family received friends from 6 to 8 pm Sunday, April 29 at the Funeral Home.
