Services for Elsie L. Baze, 81, of Alvarado, were conducted at 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 19, 2007, at the Alvarado Full Gospel Tabernacle with Rev. Robert Baze officiating.
Interment will be in Glenwood Cemetery under the direction of Clayton Kay-Vaughan Funeral Home of Alvarado.
Serving as pallbearers will be grandsons. Honorary pallbearers will be her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Elsie L. Baze passed away on Saturday, June 16, 2007, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on July 3, 1925, in Waco, Texas, to Thomas Harvey LaGow Sr. and Annie Emily Krause LaGow.
She married James Clifford Baze on August 4, 1941.
Mrs. Baze was a homemaker and a faithful member of the Alvarado Full Gospel Tabernacle.
She is survived by her loving husband of 65 years, Clifford Baze of Alvarado; sons, Wayne Baze and wife Frosty of Alvarado, Jimmy Baze and wife Brenda of Foreman, Ark., Charlie Baze and wife Jeanie of Alvarado; daughter Mary Davis and husband O. J. of Cleburne; grandchildren Kenneth Baze, David Baze, Frankie Wisman, Linda White, Jason Baze, Marchelle Taylor, Shane Baze, Chris Baze, Tarana Hester, Christy Simmons, Keith Baze, Kandice Ownby, Travis Beckham, Christy Grinell and Donna Hume; numerous great-grandchildren; brother, Johnny LaGow and wife Dorothy of Alvarado; sister Dorothy LaGow of Alvarado; numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter Martha Hart and two grandchildren.
Visitation with the family was held from 6-8 p.m. Monday, June 18, 2007, at the funeral home.
