Elizabeth Ellis, 91, of Ovilla, Texas, went to be with her Lord on March 22, 2011. She passed away at Baylor University Medical Center at Dallas with her granddaughter, Whitney, and son, William, at her side.

A viewing will be held from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Friday, March 25, at Sparkman Hillcrest Funeral Home, 7405 W. Northwest Highway in Dallas. Services will be held at Bear Creek Baptist Church in Glenn Heights at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 26, 2011. Elizabeth will be buried at Sparkman Hillcrest cemetery.

She was born Dec. 31, 1919, in Carthage, Texas to Will and Evie Campbell. Shortly afterwards the family moved to Mt. Enterprise, Texas. Elizabeth was the second oldest in a family with eight kids, four boys and four girls. She was a member of Bear Creek Baptist Church of Glenn Heights.

Preceding her in death were her husband, W.E. “Babe” Ellis; grandson, Wilson; her parents; and all but one of her siblings.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, William and Patty Ellis of Ovilla; granddaughter, Whitey of Ovilla; brother and sister-in law, Dan “Tap” and Marie Campbell of Mt. Enterprise; and numerous nieces; nephews; and cousins.
