E. Wayne Moyers, 76, passed away Saturday, March 19, 2011. Wayne was born April 25, 1934, in Greenwood to James and Ruby Moyers. He was one of eight children. He married Charlotte in Flower Mound on Nov. 17, 2007. He served in the U.S. Army Reserve, earning numerous awards and honors. He was a long time resident of Fort Worth and employed by the U.S. Corps of Engineers in the office of personnel management until his retirement in 1990. Wayne was past president of the National Association of Retired Federal Employees. He enjoyed genealogical research, square dancing and calling, walking Miss Daisy and traditional country music.
Survivors include his loving wife, Charlotte Moyers; children, Mark Moyers and wife, Nannette, Barry Moyers, Craig Hyatt and wife, Kathryn, Cristy Hyatt Coffey and husband, Jeff, and Daisey Mae; grandchildren, Matthew Moyers and wife, Rachel, Shaunna McFarland and husband, Ryan, Krystina Goodwin, John Goodwin and Clint Goodwin; and great-grandson, Jackson Maxwell Moyers.
Graveside services were held at 11:30 a.m. Monday, March 21, in Laurel Land Memorial Park in Fort Worth. A service of remembrance was held at 2:30 p.m. Monday at Tyndale Seminary, 701 Pipeline Road in Hurst.
