Dorothy Mae Hiddleston, 83, of Waxahachie passed away Feb. 17, 2010. She was born Dec. 5, 1926, to Adolf and Viola Eifert.

She attended business college in Enid, Okla., and Oklahoma State University. She has been a member of First United Methodist Church in Waxahachie since 1992. She had been employed as an executive secretary, a county agent and a housewife. She was a member of Christian Women's Association, Century Club, Fidelis Sunday School Class at FUMC, Bible study and widow’s group and Gingerbread Red Hats.

She was preceded in death by her husband, W.M. Hiddleston.

Survivors include daughter, Rita A. Irwin and husband, Anthony M. of Waxahachie; sons, R. Bruce Hiddleston and wife, Charlotte, of Oklahoma City, and David Hiddleston of Midlothian, Texas; grandchildren, Lisa, Chris and Phillip Hiddleston of Oklahoma City, Nicolle Hiddleston of Austin, Texas, Matthew Hiddleston of Midlothian; great-grandchildren, Jesus and Alex Hiddleston of Oklahoma City; sister Helen Louise (Eifert) Burgert and husband, Omer, of Rochester, Minn. and sister-in-law, Doris Eifert of Waukomis, Okla.

A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 27, in the chapel of First United Methodist Church in Waxahachie with Kevin Wilson officiating. Burial will be in Waukomis, Okla.
