Doris Voss, 80, a retired home health caregiver and housewife, passed away at Renfro Nursing Home in Waxahachie.  She was a mom of the Alvarado Seventh Day Adventist Church. 

Graveside service will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 25, 2009, at Glennwood Cemetery in Alvarado, Texas. Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Clayton Kay Vaughan Funeral Home in Alvarado. She was born to Isaac and Bessie Wynn on April 18, 1928, in Cody’s Bluff, Okla. She met her husband, Leroy Voss in Nowata, Okla., where they were married July 18, 1948. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leroy in 2003 and son, Timothy in 1959. She is survived by a sister, Naomi Gardineer of Florance, Miss.; sister-in-law, Dorothy Wynn of Joshua, Texas; one son, William and wife, Suzanne Voss of Waxahachie; two daughters, Shirley Hixon of The Colony, Texas, Pamela and husband, William Campbell of Cleburne, Texas; two grandchildren, Brittany Campbell of Joshua and Joseph Campbell of Midlothian; three great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews and family and friends. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Alvarado Seventh Day Adventist Church or an organization of your choice.
