Don Threadgill, 75, passed away Tuesday, May 26, 2009, in Hico. He was born May 23, 1934, in Stanford, Texas, to Gathmer O’Neal Threadgill and Texas Keller Threadgill. He married Lawana Jean Patterson, July 28, 1956, in Joshua, Texas. Don owned and operated a muffler shop in Dallas. He was a deacon at Willa Road Baptist Church. Don enjoyed restoring antique cars. He played guitar and sang in a small band, entertaining at many area nursing homes. He cherished his family. Preceding him in death were his parents; daughter, Sherri LaDon Threadgill; brother, Charles Threadgill; and son-in-law, Mike Hutto.

Survivors include his wife, Lawana Threadgill; children and spouses, Joe Don and Diane Threadgill, Jimmy and Cindy Threadgill, Jan and Lee Durham, Teresa Guillory, Yvette and Russ Lambert, April Hutto, Christopher Garrett Cochran; 23 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; mother-in-law, Pariozad “Zade” Millikan.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Thursday, May 28, 2009, at Wiley Funeral Home in Glen Rose with interment following at George’s Creek Cemetery.
