Chester R. “Sonny” Fleeman, 60, passed away Saturday morning at Renfro Care Center in Waxahachie.

Sonny was a proud Marine, he was extremely loving, and giving as a father, grandfather and family/friend to all. My father was by far the strongest, most loving and compassionate man I have ever known. He fought a hard fight against his ailments and he made the decision that he was tired of fighting and was ready to move on to a better place.
He is survived by his daughter Stacie L Winchester and her fiancee' Mike Watson, his grandson Thomas R. Campbell, his father Chester R Fleeman Sr. and his wife Esta Lee, all of Waxahachie, two sisters; Sue Mellos of Garland, Kathy Fleeman of Waxahachie, one stepson Jeffrey T. Shaw Jr. of Fort Worth, and Aunt Marie and her husband Charles Davenport of Italy.
A memorial graveside service is scheduled for 10 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 29, 2007 at the Italy Cemetery with Pastor Larry Atchley officiating.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Wayne Boze Funeral Home.
