Annie Lou McCain, 91, of Waxahachie passed away Tuesday, Jan. 20, 2009 at the Renfro Nursing home. She was born to the late J.P. and Amanda Roberts Woody on June 19, 1917.
Annie loved going to church and spending time with all of her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She enjoyed sewing and made her own clothes for many years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Waxahachie.
She is survived by her grandsons, Charles W. Lynn of Waxahachie, James V. Lynn and his wife, Jackie of Waxahachie; her granddaughter, Sherrie Odom and her husband, Larry of Waxahachie; her six great-grandchildren: Tara Gattin, Chelsea Cole, Chase Lynn, Samantha Lynn, James V. Lynn II, Lyndsey Markert; and six great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Linda Williams; six brothers and three sisters.
Services to celebrate her life will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 24, 2009, at the Pat Boze Memorial Chapel of Wayne Boze Funeral Home with Dr. Leroy Fenton officiating. Interment will follow at the Red Oak Cemetery.
Visitation for family and friends will be held from 6-8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 23, 2009, at the Wayne Boze Funeral Home.
