WRC Pregnancy Center of Ellis County, formerly the Women’s Resource Center, will celebrate “New Beginnings” at its roundup at 7 p.m. Oct. 26 at the Texas Motorplex Champions Club.

“This barbeque dinner event will gather together friends from across the county who share the common mission of upholding the sanctity of life and supporting women and families in our communities confronted with unplanned pregnancies,” a spokesman said. “An opportunity to make a financial gift will be extended.”

Tickets are $25. To sponsor a table of eight is $200.

This year’s speaker is Lori DeVillez, executive director of the Austin Pregnancy Resource Center. The agency started with its first center on the University of Texas campus and has grown to four locations. “DeVillez will share an informative message on where we are today in the pregnancy center movement across America and why it is important for us to continue to serve together in this vital ministry,” the spokesman said.

DeVillez has ministered in pregnancy centers in Texas and nationally for 15 years. She has directed a maternity home and is coordinator for the Life Connection for the Southern Baptist Convention.

WRC Pregnancy Center is a nonprofit, tax-exempt organization, staffed primarily by volunteers and funded by donations. All gifts are tax-deductible.
