A thorough search by bomb-sniffing police dogs revealed no bomb at Wedgeworth Elementary School on Wednesday, despite school officials receiving a written threat.

Wedgeworth students were taken to nearby Harvest Baptist Church after officials received the threat around 10:30 a.m. Wednesday. Students were moved to a nearby church before specially trained dogs helped police and fire officials search the building.

Waxahachie school district spokeswoman Nicole Mansell said no substance was found to the threat and the students returned to their classrooms at 1:30 p.m.
