The children and teachers of Ellis County Children’s Theater are turning the spotlight on the community and asking them to take the stage and step up donations to the non-profit summer camp.

Because the ECCT is struggling to raise funds to keep the program going, the organization won’t be charging a ticket fee for this summer’s big performance of “Sleeping Beauty,” with hopes that attendees will make a donation before or after the show. Anyone interested in attending the performance at 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. on July 19 at the Waxahachie High School Fine Arts Center will not have to pay the typical $5-$10 admission. The Fine Arts Center holds almost 1,000 people.
