Two people suffered injuries after a tractor-trailer collided with a passenger bus early Tuesday morning.

The accident occurred at 6:12 a.m. in the 3500 block of S. Interstate 35E.

According to a police report, a 2007 Freightliner driven by Corleano V. Gatson, 32, of Irving was traveling northbound when it veered off of the roadway and struck a 1998 bus that was parked on the east shoulder of the northbound lanes.

Gatson was transported to Baylor Medical Center at Waxahachie by East Texas EMS with non-incapacitating injuries.

A passenger who was seated in the rear seat of the bus, 57-year-old Juan M. Rivera of Dallas, was transported to Baylor Waxahachie by East Texas EMS with non-incapacitating injuries.

The driver of the bus, Arturo Solis, 41, of North Laredo, and the remaining 24 passengers, who ranged in age from 4 to 73, reported no injuries.

No citations were issued, with the report listing failure to drive in a single lane and fatigue as factors and conditions contributing to the accident.
