The city of Red Oak Parks and Recreation Department and Keep Red Oak Beautiful will host the annual Red Oak Trash Off Day from 6-11 a.m. Saturday, June 9, at the Goodloe Stadium west parking lot.
All residents within the city limits are encouraged to dispose of anything that can be taken to a registered landfill. Special areas will be set up to take items such as car batteries, computer equipment, electronics, trash, appliances, furniture, carpet, lumber, paint cans (open and dry only) and tires. There will be a disposal charge of $2 on all tires.
Chemicals, liquids and petroleum products are not accepted.
Parks and Recreation director Michael Hopping, the Parks and Recreation board, city staff, staff from IESI and volunteers will be on-site helping with the trash off day.
Resident must bring a Red Oak driverís license and a current water bill. The event will end at 11 a.m. with no exceptions.
