SAN ANTONIO (AP) - Five people, including a 6-year-old boy, were wounded in a drive-by shooting in a neighborhood on San Antonio's East Side.
Police Chief William McManus says a domestic dispute is suspected to be the root cause of the shooting on the residential street Christmas afternoon. Police Sgt. Scott Bell says two men and the boy were shot in the legs, while two women were shot in their arms. None of the wounds were believed to be life-threatening.
The neighborhood has seen increased violence over the past week. Before the Sunday shootings, one man was killed and five others were wounded in three East Side drive-by shootings Tuesday and Thursday. Sunday, McManus said he has built up the police presence in the district and vowed to "get to the bottom of this."
