MIDLAND, Texas (AP) - Three men have pleaded guilty in the June attempted robbery of anarmored car in Odessa.
Prosecutors on Thursday announced the pleas by 19-year-old Christopher Simmons, 20-year old Joshua Bell and 19-year-old Preston Savell (suh-VEL'), all of Odessa.
All pleaded guilty to attempted bank robbery, conspiracy to commit bank robbery and use of a firearm during a crime of violence.
The men were captured hours after the June 4 robbery attempt that left a guard with several gunshot wounds.
No sentencing dates were set. Each man could up to 25 years in prison for attempted bank robbery, up to five years for the conspiracy count and up to life in prison for the firearm count.
