The Waxahachie City Council is expected to hear a presentation on the new senior citizens center during tonight’s regularly scheduled meeting.
The council will meet at 7 p.m. in the council chambers of City Hall, 401 S. Rogers. The meeting is open to the public.
Additionally, four public hearings are scheduled for tonight’s meeting, which include:
Hearing to discuss the proposed assessments and assessment roll within the Waxahachie Public Improvement District 1. Hearing to amend the zoning ordinance relating to exterior construction and design requirements for masonry and non-masonry applications; providing criteria for application procedures for approval; establishing criteria for procedures for exceptions to these requirements and providing an effective date. Hearing on a zoning amendment request for a site plan approval for a single story retail office building located on the southwest corner of Indian Drive and U.S. Highway 77. Hearing on a zoning amendment request for a specific use permit to construct a facility for tanker trailer cleaning at 4300 Interstate Highway 35E.
In other action, the council is expected to administer the oath of office to the city’s newest police officer; consider the preliminary plat for the new Saddle Ridge and Belle Meadows subdivisions; and consider appointments to various boards.
