The Republican Party of Johnson County is preparing for July Jubilee. This year, the party will honor military troops and veterans.
Festivities begin at 5:30 p.m. July 14 at the Cleburne Civic Center.
The party has planned this event to let all who serve and have served know how much they care about them.
The dinner will consist of a barbecue dinner. A variety of guest speakers are planned for the event, including veterans.
Of one speaker, it has been said, “His stories…will make everyone in the civic center cry.”
Various youth groups are helping decorate the civic center. Jay Lewis of Cleburne will serve as master of ceremonies for the jubilee.
Dress for the Jubilee is casual, and tickets are $15. Tables may be sponsored for $500.
The Republican Party of Johnson County headquarters are at 210 S. Main St. in Cleburne, with Dan Hunt as chairman.
