The Waxahachie Planning and Zoning Commission meets at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday with several items on the agenda.

Continuing from their last meeting, members will hear a request from Bill Olsen for a zoning change from a future development-general retail to a planned development commercial, general retail, multi-family and two family residential. The request is for a site located west of U.S. Highway 287 and east of Business 287 and is a half-mile south of Parks School House Road and Highway 287.

Also continued from their last meeting was a request from Sandra Clark for a replat of lots 3A and 3B, block two of the Hugh McDaniel addition. The request is located off of Spring Branch Road.

A public hearing will be held on a zoning amendment request by Mark Eddins for a specific use permit within a general retail-zoning district for a restaurant/club located at 1011 U.S. Highway 77. The request is for Fat Daddy’s Sports and Spirits Café, which is planning to open in the former Lights and Galore building. Fat Daddy’s received a variance to sell beer and wine at the location during the last meeting of the city council.

The final plat of The Oaks at Cedar Glenn, located at 450 N. Oak Branch, will be up for consideration by commission members.

Members also will consider approving a final plat of Northgate Plaza, located off of U.S. Highway 77 in lot six, block one.

Members will hear a report from the Heritage Preservation Commission on signage. Residents will have a time to make petitions and requests at the end of the meeting.
