MANSFIELD, Texas – The Mansfield Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the person involved in a series of burglaries in two apartment complexes on Towne Crossing Boulevard.

The incidents occurred Aug. 8, when officers responded to the Towne Crossing and The Falls apartment complexes after receiving reports of burglaries that occurred between 8:25 a.m. and 1 p.m.

Police said the suspect awoke one of the victims as he entered her apartment bedroom and then fled the location on foot.

“In one of the burglaries, a victim was awoken by the suspect entering her bedroom as she was sleeping. The suspect fled on foot and four more burglaries were committed after this confrontation,” a police spokesman said in a press release issued about the offenses.

The suspect was a clean-shaven white male in his late 20s, with blonde hair and blue eyes, the victim told police, further describing him as having a “buzzed” haircut and “very muscular” build.

A flyer with an artist’s sketch has been passed out to the apartment managers and residents.
