Navarro College has partnered with Stephen F. Austin State University to provide paraprofessionals in the Texas public school system and other qualifying students the opportunity to complete a bachelorís degree online and become certified to teach pre-kindergarten through grade four.
After completing an associateís of arts in teaching degree at Navarro College, qualifying students can transfer to SFASU and complete their bachelorís degree in four semesters while continuing to work and live in the town of their choice.
One two-day campus visit to SFASU is required each semester.
There is funding available to cover tuition and some fees for paraprofessionals enrolling in college to become certified teachers.
