GLEN BURNIE, Md. (AP) _ Firefighters say a blaze roared through a Maryland concrete plant, causing one small building to collapse, before it was contained.
Anne Arundel County Fire Department Battalion Chief Matthew Tobia (TOE-bee-ah) says no one has been hurt in the three-alarm blaze early Saturday at Concrete Works Inc. in Glen Burnie.
He says the fire was brought under control about 7:40 a.m. Crews remained to ensure the blaze did not rekindle. Tobia says there is no indication any hazardous chemicals have been released.
Nearly 80 firefighters fought the blaze in a concrete-mixing structure and a conveyor system in an adjacent building.
