A capital murder victimís vehicle has been located in Waxahachie Ė and Grand Prairie police are seeking the publicís assistance and any information as to how it came to be abandoned here as well as the offense itself.

The capital murder occurred at about 8:15 p.m. Feb. 25, with police saying they found Maurice Edwards, a 27-year-old black male, fatally wounded in the 3000 block of Maine Anjou in Grand Prairie.

The victimís vehicle, a 2006 black Ford Fusion was stolen at the time of the murder, police said.

With the help of the GPS unit, the car was located as abandoned at 156 Eubank St. in Waxahachie on Monday, Feb. 28. The vehicle was found in a cul-de-sac right off a road inside the Housing Authority apartment complex at 800 Getzendaner in Waxahachie, police said.
