Midlothian ISD voters approved a $97.3 million bond for a second high school, seventh elementary school and addition to Frank Seale Middle School. The vote was 2,263 to 1,838, with a 21.3 percent voter turnout. In the trustee election, place 6 incumbent Cindy Williams won re-election with 2,152 votes to challenger Kyle McAfee's 1,471. Place 7 incumbent Wayne Shuffield won re-election with 1,892 votes to challenger Erik Kyle's 1,669. In the city election, incumbent Mayor Boyce Whatley won re-election with 1,156  to challenger Tyda Shields' 601. The incumbents in places 3 and 4 were unopposed.
