Meals-on-Wheels of Johnson and Ellis Counties and the Waxahachie Chamber of Commerce will offer a free “Lunch & Learn” to residents and businesses of Waxahachie and surrounding communities.
“Stress & Lifestyle with Eldercare Issues” will be held at noon Thursday, June 21, in the chamber board room, located at 102 YMCA Drive.
The class is designed for anyone who provides physical care, emotional support, financial assistance and other help to older adults.
Workshop topics will include work and life balance issues associated with the needs of older adults with health problems, which can create personal and workplace stress; practical techniques for managing the stress of a busy life within the context of an aging society; sandwich generation families; and the demands of a competitive and complex workplace.
Lunch will be provided by Infinite Care Home Health and Renfro Healthcare Center of Waxahachie. Seating is limited, so participants are asked to call and reserve a place.
