The Red Oak Public Library will have special summer hours throughout June, July and August.
On Monday, the library will be open from noon-8 p.m., 11 a.m.-7 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday and 1-5 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
Children’s programs will be held every Monday evening in June and July, except for July 2. For more information on times and dates of specific programs, contact the library at (469) 218-0061.
Free library cards are available for residents who live within the city of Red Oak, city of Red Oak employees or teachers in the Red Oak Independent School District.
Those living outside of the city of Red Oak city taxing district must pay a fee for a library card. Benefits of paying for an adult card include becoming eligible to obtain a TEXASHARE CARD, which can be used at all participating libraries, including the Dallas Public Library; ability to check out late release movies and audio books from the Red Oak Public Library; reduced children’s library card fees; coupons almost equal to the price of an adult card are given to adults at the time of joining.
