The Alvarado Road Show of Nashville, Tenn., will be a special guest at the annual Santa’s Helpers Auction and Fajita Supper at the Old Settlers Reunion Pavilion on Saturday, Nov. 17, with the concert to begin at 3:30 p.m.
“We are looking forward to the Santa’s Helpers fund-raiser, Nov. 17, and Alvarado Road Show is very excited and ready to help in any way they can,” said Charlene Clark, the group’s vice president of operations. “Alvarado Road Show feels Alvarado, Texas, is home and wants to give back as much as they can. A.J., Cleve and Brandon Trey feel this is just the start of great things for Alvarado Road Show and the city of Alvarado.”
According to an Alvarado Road Show publication, the group has spent the last 20 years developing a fan-base and schedules up to 150 concerts a year. The group has performed with country music icons including Lynn Anderson and in the historic Ryman Auditorium in Nashville as well as at the Country Music Award music festival and the Grand Ol’ Opry.
Cleve (lead vocals) and A.J. (guitar/vocals) are under contract as exclusive songwriters for Sony/ATV Music Publishing while Brandon Trey (drums and vocals) is a freelance songwriter.
“We still need more auction items,” said Jerry Pritchard, president of Santa’s Helpers, noting that 266 children were signed up to receive help this year as of Oct. 30.
“We are looking forward to a good auction and hope to raise a lot of money to help children and also we hope everybody has a good time and will enjoy the fajitas and the Alvarado Road Show,” Pritchard said.
To purchase tickets, contact Nell Montgomery, Billy Walker or any Santa’s Helper. Tickets are $10 for concert and fajita dinner, or $5 for the meal only.
