Interstate 35Es southbound lanes south of the Forreston rest stop were brought to a standstill at 10 a.m. Tuesday when a 2002 Ford Ranger towing a double-axle trailer was involved in a single-vehicle accident.

Investigating Highway Patrol troopers said it appeared the trailer jackknifed and became detached from the Ranger, which overturned. Personal effects, including a large volume of coins and about 50 rounds of ammunition, spilled from the trailer onto the roadway. No injuries requiring medical transport were reported, and the highway reopened about an hour after the accident occurred.
