A single-vehicle accident claimed the life of a Dallas man Monday evening on Interstate 35E.
The accident occurred at about 5:25 p.m. in the 3700 block of the interstate.
According to the investigating officer’s report, Guillermo Vasquez Hernandez, 56, was traveling northbound in a 1986 Ford F150 in the far right lane of traffic when the accident occurred.
“A blowout from a faulty rear left tire caused the vehicle to lose control, sending the vehicle off the roadway,” according to the report. “The vehicle appeared to flip several times, killing the driver.”
Hernandez was pronounced dead at the scene, with his body taken to the Dallas County medical examiner’s office.
Hernandez was the sole occupant of the vehicle, which was towed due to the damage.
