LANCASTER - Police are asking for assistance in locating a critical missing runaway.

Fifteen-year-old Autumn Brooks was reported as a runaway from the family home in the 200 block of Melrose by her mother late Thursday evening.

Autumn’s mother told police she had last seen her daughter leaving for school Thursday morning wearing an orange shirt, black jeans and white tennis shoes. Autumn is 5 feet, 9 inches tall, and weighs about 215 pounds. She has short black hair and brown eyes.

Pamela Brooks told police her daughter is supposed to be taking medication daily and has not taken her medication with her.

Brooks also told police she has learned her daughter has been utilizing a telephone chat line and may have been talking with several males. Police said it is not known the age of the men she has been chatting with and that it is possible Autumn has been using a nickname of “Ke Ke” while using the chat line.

“Due to the amount of time Autumn has been missing and the danger she faces from not taking her medication, the public is asked to help in locating her,” a police spokesman said.

Anyone with information regarding Autumn’s whereabouts is asked to call the Lancaster Police Department at (972) 218-2711, or one’s local police department.
