The Red Oak Area Chamber of Commerce hosted the 18th annual golf tournament at Country View Golf Course in Lancaster on Monday, hosting 44 golfers in the fund-raiser.
“We had great response from area businesses on goodie bags and items for our drawings as well as our raffle,” said Tracy Sullivan, Red Oak Area Chamber of Commerce administrator.
As foretold by Roy Miller, the day was absolutely beautiful with blue skies and a few clouds to offer relief from warm temperatures. Golfers enjoyed a full round of golf, lunch, dinner and friendly competition for the first, second and third place trophies.
Roy Miller and Bill Gardner served as co-chairmen of the golf tournament committee, with committee members gathering sponsors, raffle items and door prizes.
Timeline Images had a display of portraits in the clubhouse. Timeline Images was also on the course, taking photos of golfers during the tournament.
“They have taken everybody’s picture to give away and are giving away a family portrait,” Sullivan said.
Many of the raffle items stayed close to the golf tournament theme, with businesses donating golf balls and certificates for rounds of golf. Housewarmers of Red Oak welcoming service donated gift bags.
Junior’s BBQ in Red Oak catered lunch at the clubhouse.
