The city of Red Oak second annual Festival of Trees will begin Saturday, Nov. 24, and will continue through Saturday, Dec. 1, at the Red Oak ISD administration annex building (the old Red Oak Elementary).

There will be a silent auction featuring original decorated trees, with all proceeds benefiting the Red Oak ISD Education Foundation, which funds grants for student projects. Other activities planned for the event include photographs and story time with Santa, singing by area choirs and children’s bands playing.

The Festival of Trees is a magical family event designed to kick off the holiday season by bringing the community together to view dozens and dozens of beautifully decorated Christmas trees, wreaths, stocking and other holiday items donated by individuals, businesses, organizations, churches, school groups and classrooms.

All are encouraged to donate a tree, whether it’s of a religious, patriotic, magical juvenile, whimsical, contemporary, traditional or just a beautiful style.
