The Waxahachie Police Department has filed felony drug charges against two local men.

“Officer Abe Partington was attempting to stop a car for a traffic violation at West Main and Brookside (Thursday) at about 8:50 a.m.,” detective Lt. Todd Woodruff said. “The driver didn’t immediately pull over (and officer) Partington reports seeing several small bags get thrown out of the car as it continued west on Main Street.”

The driver was pulled over near Waxahachie Country Club on West Main, Woodruff said, noting that assisting officers recovered several bags containing suspected methamphetamine.

The aggregate weight of the substance was 11.2 grams, “a substantial” amount, Woodruff said.

Taken into custody were Cameron Roy Sessums, 27, and Jason Emile Aucoin, 31, both of Waxahachie. Both were booked into Wayne McCollum Detention Center on a second-degree felony charge of possession of a controlled substance, penalty group one, from 4-200 grams.
