MANSFIELD — At 6 p.m. on Dec. 26 the Mansfield Police responded to two robbery reports involving the same suspect.

The first incident occurred in the parking lot at 2041 N. U.S. Highway 287 West Frontage Road.

According to a Mansfield Police Department press release, the suspect approached the female victim as she was placing her children in her vehicle and demanded money. She told him she didn’t have any and he demanded her vehicle.

The suspect shoved the victim to ground in an attempt to take her keys. The victim began to scream and create a disturbance. The suspect left the location in a red passenger car, according to the release.

Fifteen minutes later, the same suspect entered the 7-11 at 1665 E. Broad St., and demanded money from the cashier, while indicating that he had a firearm.

The suspect left the location in the below described vehicle after obtaining cash from the second victim.

The suspect is described as a white male wearing orange coveralls and a brown jacket.

The suspect vehicle is a 1992 – 1994 red, two-door, Mitsubishi Eclipse with extensive body damage and “for sale 600 obo” written on the windows in white shoe polish.

The suspect is considered to be armed and dangerous.
