The Waxahachie Lions Club is accepting entries into its annual J.E. Wakeland Memorial Golf Tournament.

The tournament is set for Friday, Sept. 21, at the Old Brickyard Golf Course in Ferris.

Entries are due by Sept. 17 for the tournament, which will be a Florida scramble at an entry fee of $100 per player.

Lunch will be served at 11:45 a.m., with a shotgun start set for 1 p.m.

Proceeds raised with the tournament will benefit the Lions Club charities, including the Sight and Tissue Foundation, Camp New Horizons for diabetic children, Texas Lions Camp for diabetic and special needs children and several local charities.

Prizes include a new car for a hole-in-one as sponsored by Thornhill Auto Group, with several other hole prizes offered.

Participants are invited to bring a foursome or the club can place players into a group.
