The city of Waxahachie will hold public hearings for two proposed annexation tracts during the next two months.
In July, hearings will be held regarding a request by Rick Jellies of Texas 275 LLC for the annexation of 199.1 acres of the J.B. and Ann Adams Survey on Wilson Road near the intersection of Farm-to-Market Road 879. The hearings for this tract will take place at 7 and 8 p.m. Monday, July 16, at City Hall.
The second tract, located east of Ovilla Road (FM 664) and south of Bob White (Patsy Lane) near South Grove Creek, is 12.939 acres in the S. Powers Survey. The hearings for this tract will take place at 7 and 8 p.m. Monday, Aug. 6, at City Hall.
City Secretary Nancy Ross said the city cannot adopt the tracts until 21 days after the public hearings have been held. The earliest adoption dates for the properties are Aug. 6 for the 199.1-acre tract and Aug. 27 for the 12.939-acre tract.
