Helping Hands of Ennis is in need of food and staple items for their outreach program. Donations of protein sources such as tuna, peanut butter, canned meats, powdered milk and any other items would be appreciated.

Sept. 15-16 - The annual St. John Bazaar will be held at the KJT grounds. The event will feature past favorites such as the doll booth and many new attractions. All proceeds to benefit St. John school.
Sept. 15 - First Baptist Church will be hosting their 2nd annual Block Party from 4-7 p,m, at the church, 301. N. Dallas St. Admission is free but guests are asked to bring a non-perishable food item to donate to Helping Hands of Ennis. Activities will include: bounce houses, slides, face painting, games and door prizes for adults and children. BBQ sandwiches, chips, drinks and dessert will also be provided.
Sept. 15 - The National Polka Festival Horseshoe tournament will be held during the St. John Bazaar at the KJT grounds. Registration will be from noon - 2 p.m. The contest will begin at 2 p.m. Entry fee is $20 per team and the tournament is double elimination and trophies will be awarded. Sept 22 - the annual "Lights of Ennis" fund-raiser will be held at La Galleria. The evening is a pirate themed event with dinner and dancing. Prizes will be given throughout the night, contact (972) 878-2400 for more information.
Sept. 22 - The Knights of Columbus Council 1353 is holding a Sportmen's Giveaway, where the lucky grand prize winner will receive a four-wheel drive, automatic four-wheeler and ladies spa experience. Sept. 29 - Telico Volunteer Fire Department is hosting their annual barn dance fund-raiser.
