Helping Hands of Ennis is in need of food and staple items for their outreach program. Donations of protein sources such as tuna, peanut butter, canned meats, powdered milk and any other items would be appreciated.

Dec. 20 - Inspiration Inc., a local non-profit performance ministry will present their adaption of the classic "Charlie Brown Christmas" beginning at 7:30 p.m. in the Ennis Library. Dec. 24 - First Presbyterian Church will be holding a Christmas Eve candlelight service beginning at 6 p.m. The service will include singing traditional Christmas hymns and will conclude with the lighting of the candles while singing 'Silent Night'. Dec. 27 - The Ennis Regional Medical Center will host a reception at the Ennis Country Club to honor all WWII veterans, beginning at 6 p.m. All veterans that pre-register will be receive a certificate of appreciation for their service. Representatives from Honor Flight of Ellis County will also be on hand to explain more about the program and to answer questions.

Jan. 8 - The Southern Pacific Sunbeam Club will meet at 11:30 a.m.at the Ennis Corral in celebration of the New Year and the club’s 14th anniversary, Due to New Year’s Day falling on the regular meeting day, the meeting has been moved for the January meeting only. The public is invited to attend and help the group celebrate.
Jan. 9 - The MAAG will meet in the Memorial Hall of First United Methodist Church at 10 a.m. It will be a day of games and a fellowship lunch of soup, salads and desserts, as well as assorted hot drinks. The public is invited to attend.
