In an effort to revive the ambassadors program, the Red Oak Area Chamber of Commerce invites business owners and representatives to become ambassadors for the chamber.
“The ambassadors are representatives of the chamber whose main function is to welcome new members and to encourage them to become involved. The more you are involved, the better it is for your business,” chamber president Dana Rodes said. “Ambassadors help establish relationships so that when new members come to an event, they’ll know somebody and feel involved.”
Ambassadors take the initiative to be fully involved with the chamber by attending ribbon cuttings, the monthly Business After Hours events, monthly membership luncheons at the Red Oak Municipal Center and monthly ambassador luncheons held at local restaurants.
“We’re a ‘more the merrier’ kind of group,” Rodes said, adding that Darlene Williams with Wells Fargo is heading up the ambassadors program. “She’s going to do a fabulous job at inspiring our members to fully initiate and welcome our new members.”
With just a few months under her belt as president of the chamber, Rodes is looking forward to a growing and involved ambassador program.
“My main goal for reviving the ambassadors program is to really focus on customer service and make sure our members are happy and feel included. The chamber is nothing if we’re not about people and welcoming their business,” Rodes said. “I want to renew that as one of our main areas of focus. A fabulous job had been done in the past and we’re simply interested in reviving the success of this program.”
