LANCASTER - Police responded to a reported carjacking in the 2800 block of Coral Drive in west Lancaster shortly after 2 p.m. Tuesday.
A pizza delivery man was making a delivery when he was robbed at gunpoint by two men, according to police reports, which indicate the gunmen threatened the victim with a handgun, firing at least one round into the ground near where the victim was standing, before taking money and the victimís car.
The fleeing robbers wrecked the victimís car a short distance away in the 2800 block of St. Thomas before escaping on foot.
One suspect, Detion Henderson, 27, of Dallas, was arrested by responding officers after he tried to flag down a passerby for a ride, according to police, who said Henderson was identified by the victim as being one of the two men who robbed him.
Detectives worked into the evening hours conducting a search and follow-up investigation with Dallas police officers at a residence in the 2100 block of 56th Street in Dallas. More arrests are expected as the investigation continues, police said.
The victim was not injured by the gunfire.
Henderson is being held in the DeSoto jail with bail set at $250,000 on a charge of aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon.
