Waxahachie Lighthouse for Learning will offer iPhone for the Beginner; Facebook, Text, Twitter for the Beginner; and Facebook Business – Marketing strategies for the fall semester. All of the courses will be taught by Jennifer Thornhill at Waxahachie High School.
iPhone for the Beginner will help you see your iPhone in a whole new way. Thornhill will give demonstrations on ways you can save time and keep organized as well as entertained.
She says the iPhone can really help make your life easier, more productive and informative as long as you know the basics. The class will be from 6-7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 20, and will cost $8.
Facebook, Text, Twitter for the Beginner will help you learn the ins and outs of these social networks. You will learn how to create and edit your profile, choose and change your privacy settings,
find friends, upload digital photos into albums and much more.
The course will also cover such social media trends as Twitter and blogging.
The course will be from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 6, and will cost $15.
Facebook Business – Marketing Strategies will help you gain an understanding of how to create a professional presence on Facebook. Thornhill will show you ways to promote a company’s brand, increase sales, drive traffic to a site and engage with customers all using one of the hottest social networking sites today – Facebook. The class is for beginners who do not yet have a Facebook business page. All students registering for this class must have a Facebook account and have taken the Facebook beginners class or have a general understanding of how the website works. The class will be from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 13, and will cost $15.
