OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) _ A new skyscraper planned for downtown Oklahoma City will be developed by a Houston-based firm.
Devon Energy Corp. President and Chief Executive Larry Nichols says his company's new headquarters will be developed by Hines, an international real estate company that built corporate offices for General Motors, Gannett, Union Pacific, Wells Fargo and H&R Block.
Early estimates are that the building will contain at least 1 million square feet and stand at least 37 stories tall, which would make it the tallest building in Oklahoma City.
The estimated construction cost is more than $350 million.
Nichols says the company will announce its choice of an architect for the project within the next few weeks.
