Special to the Ennis Journal

Last summer, after school districts had approved their calendars for the 2007-2008 school year, the Texas Education Agency announced a change in state testing that required Ennis ISD to adjust its school calendar.

The original EISD calendar had Monday, April 28 listed as a bad weather day. The revised calendar moved this bad weather day to May.

The two bad weather days are May 26 and May 30. If there is not a bad weather closing between now and then, May 26 will be a student/teacher holiday and May 30 will be a teacher workday.

Revised school calendars were distributed last September. However, some of the original calendars listing April 28 as a bad weather day may still be in circulation.

April 28 is a regular school day.
