After their second day of vigorous training, members of the newly-recruited CSI squad, comprised of Alvarado ISD students, put their skills to action as they participated in a crime scene investigation Thursday in and around the Alvarado High School concession stand.

The students were split into teams and each assigned to different types of evidence including hair, fibers, soil, footprints, fingerprints, paper/plastic and bite marks.

Mock suspects included Jean Jealous, who lost the last election for concession director; Mitchell Money, a student who hangs around the concession stand; and Paul Parent, who has recently been in some financial trouble and whose son also competes with the concession director's boy for positions in both football and baseball.

Thursday concluded the camp activities and instructor Julie Holland said each member is ready to go out and start investigating crimes on their own.
