With her husband at her bedside, Madelin Hatfield Wilson died on the morning of August 22, 2018 after a long battle with cancer. She is now and evermore pain free.

She was born Madelin Jean Hatfield to Corliss L. and Lola V. (McVay) Hatfield on September 3, 1933 in Laporte, Indiana. She graduated from Laporte High School in 1952 and in 1956 graduated from Andrews University in Berrien Springs, Michigan.

She is survived by her loving husband of forty years Larry W. Wilson of Waxahachie, TX; her sister Dr. Shirley Gooch of Beverly Hills, CA and four nephews that she adored: Alan of Lexington, KY; Adam of Hermosa Beach, CA; Todd of Danville, KY; and David of Ecuador. Their families include three grandnephews and eight grandneices. Also surviving are stepson Larry Wilson, Jr of Waxahachie, TX and stepdaughter Lisa Lopez of Ferris TX. Madelin was preceded in death by her parents.

In keeping with her years of giving to help others, Madelin willed her body to UTSW Medical School. The kindnesses and help of Vitas Hospice is acknowledged and most appreciated.
