Paul Everett Johnson of Garland, Texas passed away on August 29, 2018 at the age of 90. He was born on November 25, 1927 in Crowell, Texas to Richard and Fannie (Schultz) Johnson. Paul was a graduate of Crowell High School in Crowell, Texas, where he grew up on his family’s farm. He spent most of his working career at Texas Instruments and retired in 1991. Paul enjoyed gospel and country music. He loved gathering with friends on the square in downtown Garland to enjoy music and fellowship. But more than anything else, he loved to fish and camp with his family. Paul was known for his kind, compassionate and giving heart. He was a family man first.

Paul is survived by his daughter, Paula Neff and husband, Rick of Waxahachie, Texas; grandchildren, Shawn Crabtree and wife, Sarah of Ketchikan, Alaska, Drue Crabtree and wife, Angela of Chehalis, Washington, and Aaron Johnson; great grandchildren, Victoria Sambrano and husband, Jose, Allison Crabtree, Sophia Crabtree, Stephanie Crabtree, Riley Crabtree and Stephen Crabtree; great great grandchildren Audrey, Shawn Paul, Kerrie and Lily; sisters, Nell Jones and Martha Gann; and numerous other loving family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Johnson; son, Richard R. Johnson; and parents, Richard and Fannie Johnson.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 5, 2018 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home Chapel, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park in Allen. The family will receive friends during a visitation on Tuesday, September 4, 2018 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
