Delano K. Pruner, age 85, of Waxahachie, passed away Tuesday evening, August 14, 2018, at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas. He was born November 8, 1932, in Kansas to George and Reba (Etchinson) Pruner. He was a Veteran of the U. S. Air Force.

Survivors include his loving wife, Mary Pruner of Waxahachie; four children, George Pruner and his wife Janice of Abbott, TX., Cindy Johnson and her husband Terry and Jim Pruner and his wife Jennifer all of Waxahachie and Mona Gatens and her husband John of Dallas; step-children, Greg Calder of Austin, Jennifer Calder of Midlothian; 10 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, 1 great-great grandson and numerous nieces and nephews. Delano was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, JR Pruner and Darrell Pruner and one sister, Beverly Lair.

Visitation for family and friends will be 6 to 8 PM Friday, August 17, 2018, at the Boze-Mitchell-McKibbin Funeral Home.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2 PM Saturday, August 18, 2018, in the chapel of the Boze-Mitchell-McKibbin Funeral Home with Randy Houte officiating. Interment will follow at the Red Oak Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be grandsons, Nick Pruner, Alex Pruner and T. J. Johnson and nephews, Johnny Pruner, Randy Cubbage and Scott Burkhart. Honorary pallbearers will be Midway Airport co-workers, John, Ray, Darron, Paul Fletcher and Randy Pike.
