WAXAHACHIE

Community and business leaders gave a hearty round of applause as the ribbon was cut to open the new home for Cross Restoration and Construction on July 17.

The company provides work throughout the Metroplex as a general contractor for both commercial and residential projects.

Mark Connell, the owner of Cross Restoration and Construction, stated this is the company's third year in business and looks forward to growing at the new location.

“We found this place, purchased it, and love it,” Connell relayed. “Hopefully we are going to be here for a long time to come.”

According to the company website, some of the services it offers to clients includes roofing, fire, water, wind and hail damage restoration, total new construction, new homes, room additions, patio covers, garages, and total renovation and remodeling.

Sandy King, Waxahachie Chamber of Commerce President, stated it is encouraging when an existing business continues to grow.

“We are always excited about new businesses that come into town. We are even more excited when we see existing businesses that are moving up or moving into better locations. It tells us that they are here to stay,” King emphasized. “Ribbon cuttings like this is more special to us seeing these existing businesses doing better and better.”

King stated the chamber's job is not only to bring new businesses to the city but to help support existing businesses that are already here.

Cross Restoration and Construction is located at 407 W. Main Street in downtown Waxahachie.
