MIDLOTHIAN

Creekside Church in Midlothian is broadening its local ministry programs to include a once-a-month food service to area citizens needing assistance. The “Mobile Pantry Express” kicked-off its initial successful month of service in May.

Creekside Church, located at 5401 East Highway 287, recently announced that it has teamed up with the URBANwell Magazine to offer fresh and nutritious food for area families in need. The manager of this new local ministry is led by Anna Hammonds and is aided by a host of church volunteers. She urges all who need help feeding their families to take advantage of Creekside’s service date from 9:30—11: 30 a.m. Saturday, June 16.

Applications will be available on site. Staff and church helpers will be on hand to help patrons with some quick and easy paperwork, and then the “free food” will be passed out after the registration process has been completed.

Lead Minister of Creekside Church is Clint Rhodes. He eagerly stated, “Our church doors will open at 9:30 a.m. this Saturday morning. We are so excited to be given the opportunity to love folks in our community through the URBANwell Magazine’s Mobile Pantry Express effort. At Creekside, our PURPOSE is to LIVE discipleship, and this is just one small example of what that can look like!”
